Changes to Vrbo Commission Rates

Changes to Vrbo Commission Rates for Stayz & Bookabach

From 1st August 2025, Vrbo is updating the legal entities for Stayz and Bookabach. While this won’t affect how the sites operate or any functionality, there are some important updates for GST‑registered partners.

What You Need to Do

If you are GST registered, you’ll need to:

Enter your GST ID in the Vrbo dashboard:

  • Go to My Account > Account Settings
  • If you have provided this information in the past, Vrbo still requires you to confirm your GST registration and provide your IRD/GST ID.
  • Your first invoice reflecting this change will be issued in mid‑September.

Enjoy reduced commission rates

  • Australia: Commission decreases from 13.2% → 12%
  • New Zealand: Commission decreases from 13.8% → 12%

This gives you the opportunity to lower your markup and be more competitive across Expedia Group sites (Vrbo, Stayz, Bookabach, Expedia, Wotif, etc).

Making Updates in Resly

If you want to adjust your rates in Resly, follow these steps:
